Community Call to Action

From Harry Awurumibe, Casablanca—The Nigerian community in Morocco, particularly those in Casablanca, is mobilizing support for the Super Falcons as they prepare for a crucial semi-final match against defending champions South Africa. With the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) unable to attend, local supporters are determined to create a vibrant atmosphere at the stadium.

Super Falcons’ Previous Matches

Despite a 3-0 victory over Tunisia in their opening match, the Super Falcons have been without the overwhelming support typically provided by the NFSC. Only a handful of Nigerians were able to attend previous games due to ticket constraints. However, community leaders are now rallying to ensure a strong turnout for the upcoming match.

Calls for Ticket Provision

Christopher Nwabuzor, a local football intermediary, has urged the Nigerian authorities to step up and provide enough tickets for the diaspora community. “The time to support the Super Falcons is now, and we need to come together to help the team overcome South Africa,” he stated.

Expected Turnout

Nigerians across various cities like Mohammédia, Rabat, and Marrakch are expressing their eagerness to support the Afro-centric champions. “We need match tickets; the stadium will be jam-packed if we get the chance,” said many locals, including Dandy Osawaru, a creative artist, who has already purchased tickets for previous matches.
