The dramatic win, which saw the Nigerian team overturn a 2–0 halftime deficit, has sparked nationwide celebrations and drawn high praise from political leaders, sports administrators, and football stakeholders across the country.

Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, who watched the match live, celebrated the Falcons’ skill and determination. “This victory is not only for Nigerian football but also a celebration of the strength and resilience of Nigerian women,” Musawa stated.
