Tribute to Champions

On Monday at the State House in Abuja, the First Lady commended the victorious Super Falcons for their passion, courage, and unwavering determination. “Your victory was not just about winning a trophy; it was a resounding testament to resilience, teamwork, and an unshakable belief in yourselves,” Mrs. Tinubu emphasized.

Inspiration for Future Generations

The First Lady highlighted how the Super Falcons have ignited a spirit of ambition in young girls. “You are role models to our young girls, not just in Nigeria but across Africa. You’ve shown them that with courage and consistency, they too can rise to greatness,” she stated.

Acknowledging Support Systems

Mrs. Tinubu also expressed her gratitude towards the coaching staff, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), National Sports Commission, and the families of the players for their unwavering support. “This victory belongs to all of us. I thank God for this remarkable feat and pray that He continues to strengthen and bless each and every one of you,” she added.

Looking Ahead

The First Lady urged the team to embrace their WAFCON victory as a stepping stone for future achievements on a global scale. “Nigeria believes in you. The future of women’s football in this country is bright, and you are leading the charge. Welcome home, our beautiful champions,” she concluded.
