The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2025/26 fixtures have been unveiled, with defending champions Remo Stars set to kick off their title defence at home against Rivers United on Friday, August 22.

Remo Stars Begin Their Journey

Remo Stars, based in Ikenne, made history last season by becoming the first club from the Southwest to win the NPFL title in 25 years. They concluded their campaign with an impressive 71 points from 38 matches, achieving 22 wins, 5 draws, and 11 losses. This season, the pressure is on to replicate their success.

Newly promoted Kun Khalifat FC will face a daunting test on their NPFL debut, matching up against the formidable Rangers International away from home. Barau FC, another newcomer, will host eight-time champions Enyimba International in their inaugural league clash.
