Rising Demand and Quick Sales

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) confirmed that tickets were completely sold out by midday on Saturday, just 24 hours before kickoff. Fans were advised to purchase tickets early, as no physical tickets would be available on match day. Supporters could secure their spots exclusively online via tikiti.co.ke or by dialing *51955#. The tiered ticket pricing, ranging from KES 300 for regular stands to KES 10,000 for VVIP, saw enthusiastic fans quickly snatch up every available seat.

A Crucial Clash for Qualification

Sunday’s match is not just a game; it’s a critical moment in Kenya’s quest for the 2026 World Cup in North America. Currently sitting fourth in Group F with six points, the Harambee Stars must secure a victory against Gabon to keep their hopes alive. The excitement is palpable, especially after the team’s thrilling 3-3 draw against The Gambia, where they displayed remarkable attacking prowess.

With the stakes high, fans are encouraged to turn out in full force to support their team. FKF CEO Harlond Ndenge emphasized the importance of this match, urging fans to arrive early for seamless entry into the stadium.

Community and Team Spirit

This match marks the return of international football to Nyayo Stadium after nearly two years, and it holds significant promise for the national team, backed by newly appointed head coach Benni McCarthy. His fresh approach has revitalized the squad, heightening hopes for a memorable performance.
