Harold Ndege Appointed New CEO of Football Kenya Federation

Leadership Transition and Experience

Ndege’s appointment follows the FKF National Executive Committee’s recent approval. He replaces Patrick Korir, who stepped down after serving in an acting capacity since October 2024. A former Tusker FC defender, Ndege contributes valuable insights from both the public and private sectors and currently holds a position in the East Africa Pamoja AFCON 2027 and CHAN 2025 Finance Committee.

FKF President Hussein Mohammed expressed optimism about Ndege’s leadership, stating, “His experience in football administration will be crucial in steering FKF forward.” Mohammed also commended Korir’s professionalism during the transition and assured that he would assist Ndege during the handover period.

Focus on Governance and Operational Efficiency

In this new role, Ndege will concentrate on enhancing FKF’s operational efficiency, improving financial management, and creating transparent governance structures. The federation is committed to fostering a professional football environment in Kenya, where integrity and strategy go hand-in-hand.

Ndege’s immediate action plan should focus on stakeholder engagement, resource allocation, and brand positioning. Establishing clear metrics for success will also be pivotal for monitoring progress and ensuring accountability across FKF’s initiatives.

Next Steps for FKF and Ndege

Harold Ndege’s appointment as CEO of FKF signals a new era for Kenyan football. His experience and strategic focus could be the key to overcoming challenges in governance and operational efficiency. The next immediate step for Ndege is to outline a detailed action plan that addresses the current challenges within the federation while promoting growth and transparency.

Football Kenya Federation expects Ndege to not only lead by example but also inspire a renewed commitment to the sport across the nation. Engaging fans, enhancing player development programs, and fostering partnerships with local clubs will be critical for maximizing the impact of his leadership.
