FC Barcelona triumphed in the FKF Bungoma Branch tournament, outpacing Compel Youth in a gripping match that concluded in penalties. With a hard-fought 3-0 victory on penalties, Barcelona not only claimed the title on September 7th, 2025, but also secured a cash prize of Ksh100,000.

In what was one of the most exciting matchups of the weekend, Barcelona and Compel Youth fought to a scoreless draw during normal time at Bungoma High School. Barcelona displayed resilience and determination, converting all three of their penalties while Compel Youth faced a stark challenge, missing all of theirs.

Dennis Simiyu, the FKF Bungoma Branch Chairman, lauded the quality of the final and expressed pride in all eight participating teams. “This is one of the best finals we’ve hosted,” Simiyu remarked. He highlighted that all teams qualified for the regional league next season, underscoring the competitive spirit witnessed during the mini-league.
