Any player near the top of the rankings with a strong projected points figure for this gameweek is a start in Sleeper and Fantrax lineups, regardless of how he is being used in FPL drafts right now.

Pay closest attention to defenders and midfielders whose points per 90 is propped up by tackles, clearances, blocks, interceptions and recoveries rather than goal involvement. Sit These Players in Category Leagues

A big FPL ownership number does not automatically translate to category-league value. If a player sits low in our rankings despite being heavily owned in FPL drafts, it usually means his output is concentrated in goals and assists with little defensive or chance-creation volume behind it, which is a weak profile for Sleeper and Fantrax scoring.

Treat a low points-per-90 mark combined with a modest projected points figure for the coming gameweek as your sit signal, even if that player is a lineup lock in FPL circles. Rotation risk, tough fixtures and limited defensive responsibility all show up in those two numbers before they show up in the headlines.
