This page explains exactly how InfoSport builds its Premier League fantasy rankings for Sleeper and Fantrax, where our data comes from, and what our numbers can and cannot tell you.
Our data sources
Player and match statistics come from the public data published by the official Fantasy Premier League game: minutes, goals, assists, expected goals and assists, tackles, clearances, blocks, interceptions, recoveries, saves, clean sheets, availability status, and fixtures. Our system collects this data automatically several times a day and after every completed gameweek, once the statistics have been confirmed.
Scoring rules come from the official Sleeper and Fantrax Premier League scoring settings. When a platform changes its scoring, we update our model and note the change on this page.
How rankings are calculated
- Points per match. We calculate what every player scored in every match under Sleeper scoring and under Fantrax default scoring.
- Points per 90 minutes. We blend recent form (last five matches) with the full season, weighted 60/40, so rankings react to change without overreacting to one game.
- Expected minutes. We estimate how much a player will play from recent minutes and official availability status. A great per-90 player who does not start is ranked accordingly.
- Fixture adjustment. We adjust projections up or down based on the strength of upcoming opponents.
- Projection. Points per 90 × (expected minutes ÷ 90) × fixture adjustment. Weekly rankings use the next gameweek; rest-of-season rankings use all remaining fixtures.

Every page shows the gameweek and date of its last update at the top.
What our rankings cannot do
- They cannot predict injuries, surprise lineup changes, or tactical shifts announced after our last update.
- They are built for standard Sleeper settings and Fantrax default scoring. If your league uses custom scoring, player values will differ.
- Statistics measure what happened; projections are estimates, not guarantees.
How we use AI
Our data tables are generated directly from statistics, with no AI involved. We use AI tools to help draft written analysis from that data. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked against the data, and edited by {AUTHOR_NAME} before publication, and our personal league experience is written by us.
Corrections
If you spot an error, tell us through our contact page. We correct factual mistakes as quickly as possible and update the page date when a correction changes the content.
