Wahbi sets the date for announcing the Morocco squad for the two matches against Niger

National coach Mohamed Wahbi has set Wednesday 4 November 2026 as the date to announce the final list of players called up for Morocco’s upcoming preparatory camp, ahead of the two matches against Niger in the third and fourth rounds of the African qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

Wahbi will reveal the players’ names during a press conference held in the conference room at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, starting at 11 a.m. The preparatory camp begins on Monday 9 November.

The Atlas Lions will play two matches against their Nigerien counterparts: the first on 13 November at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, and the second on 17 November at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, as part of Group A.

Morocco enter these two matches at the top of the group with six points, after consecutive wins over Gabon and Lesotho, and aim to strengthen their position and move closer to securing a ticket to the finals, which will be held in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Moroccan fans are eagerly awaiting the squad announcement to see the technical choices Wahbi will make, especially given the team’s positive start in the qualifiers.
