Sofyan Amrabat has joined Ajax on a free transfer following the mutual termination of his Fenerbahçe contract, signing a deal through June 30, 2028. Jordi Cruyff, Ajax’s technical director, outlined the reasoning behind the Moroccan international’s recruitment in an official club statement.

Cruyff highlighted Amrabat’s suitability for Ajax’s midfield requirements, emphasizing a combination of physical robustness and technical proficiency. “We are very happy to have finalized Sofyan’s arrival.
