Ismael Saibari is progressing through his rehabilitation at Bayern Munich following a thigh injury sustained during the World Cup. The 25-year-old Moroccan international has returned to individual training at the club’s Säbener Straße facility and has already scored in practice drills.
Training Ground Goals Mark Recovery Milestone
Saibari suffered the muscle injury during the Round of 16 fixture against Canada at the World Cup, but has now advanced to personalised recovery sessions. Days after resuming individual work, he participated in a group session alongside other sidelined players including Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, and Lennart Karl.
The session incorporated running drills, acceleration work, and ball-focused technical training before concluding with shooting practice. Saibari demonstrated precision and striking power, finding the net multiple times with efforts into the corners and beneath the crossbar.
Bayern brought the former PSV Eindhoven player to the club this summer to bolster their attacking options. His ability to finish clinically during training suggests his technical sharpness remains intact despite the layoff.
Return to Team Training Expected Next Week
Club officials anticipate Saibari will rejoin full group training within the coming week, provided his recovery continues without setback. Munich’s medical staff remains cautious about accelerating the forward’s comeback, managing his integration into competitive sessions carefully.
The recovery trajectory marks a positive development in Saibari’s adaptation to his new surroundings. His progression from individual work to controlled group sessions represents the gradual steps required after muscle injuries of this nature.
The Bavarian outfit will continue monitoring his condition closely as he approaches full availability. Saibari’s presence in group training would provide additional depth to Bayern’s forward line as the campaign progresses.
